Commenting on their appointments, Alun Mainwaring said: “I’m incredibly grateful to have received this honour and would like to thank colleagues across The Royal Parks who worked together to deliver such an iconic weekend of events for the Platinum Jubilee.”

Mark Wasilewski added: “It is a privilege to be recognised with this honour. The events for the Platinum Jubilee were a fitting tribute to our Late Queen and it was a pleasure seeing the parks as busy as they were, being enjoyed by the public. We were all so proud of the important role we played in that momentous weekend.”
